Duty and installation context
Describe the load.
Understand the working space.
A trolley, pallet-handling product or lifting accessory needs a clear account of what will be moved and how. Load dimensions, mass, movement and site conditions all matter. Do not reduce the enquiry to a capacity figure alone.
A familiar equipment name can describe products with different duty, capacity and installation requirements. Connect the search to the work the equipment must do.
Begin with the reference information available and identify what still needs clarification. The examples below describe enquiry groups, rather than a statement of stock, brand authorization or guaranteed supply.
Examples of requirements
A clearer product grouping.
Workplace trolleys and hand trucks
Give the load dimensions and mass as supplied by the responsible buyer.
Pallet-handling equipment
Describe the floor, aisle and movement route for the proposed equipment.
Specified lifting accessories, wheels and castors
Identify the required handling configuration and review responsibility.
Build a useful specification
Keep the important
details together.
Task and operating requirements
- Buyer-supplied load mass and dimensions
- Movement, travel distance and frequency
- Floor, aisle and access conditions
Site, quantity and review details
- Required capacity and configuration
- Attachment and interface compatibility
- Quantity and site constraints
- Requested manufacturer and inspection documents
Review the difference
A possible match
needs an understandable basis.
Does a handling capacity rating establish suitability for my load?
Capacity does not establish suitability for every load arrangement. Lifting and handling choices must be assessed by the buyer’s qualified responsible personnel against the actual configuration.
What should a trolley enquiry say about the load and route?
For a trolley, describe the load footprint, expected total mass, floor conditions and aisle width. Also explain whether the movement is occasional or repeated.
Add the quantity, unit of measure, destination and required date. Mark any uncertain detail clearly. Availability, pricing, lead time and delivery arrangements must be confirmed for the individual enquiry.
